clean sheets, morning.
set the table for two
so the sun can have breakfast

so the light can settle in the bottom of teacups,
swirling sugar

when I go from This Place,
not now, not here, but on that Somwhereday,
remember me like this—
this, the watermelon taste of new morning,
before your eyes have grown weary from wondering,

before the first penstroke fills the page
